Screenshots of Encodes

I don't know if it is a good suggestion but maybe you could have screenshot comparisons of the encodes and originals with the releases. Like they do sometimes on nyaa or other sites. I guess it won't work out for the ongoing series as each episode is uploaded weekly, but I think it can be done for the BD encodes. It will also give a good idea of how good the encode is..??

In some posts there're a few comparisons, mostly from Zash, once I made one but, unless there's a huge difference like different colors or filters, still images cannot be a realistic comparison I think.. xD

Who wants can make it of course, I won't force anyone though :d

When I see it, I can't really tell what is the difference because IMHO i don't really care if there's a difference unless it is something major or a really dramatic change between the images. It's a nice suggestion, but it should be optional though.

Basically I compared FFF with RefrainSub using screenshots taken with aegisub (#1) and mpc (#2), though I didn't have the source so I couldn't compare that.

I dont know if taking in aegisub will be helpful, as we generally see the video in MPC/VLC, so I guess screenshots in MPC suffice.

About whether it's good- I'd say screenshots are a good way to know how good the encode is. I take a couple of them for almost everything I encode as I can exactly see with respect to the source: if there is blurring at the edges,say, or if I need to add zones somewhere.. Posting them or not is your wish. Again I don't know if everyone even cares about them, like Orange said..

well because:
- snapshots tend to magnify trivial noise, making people unsatisfied. Not to mention that trivial noise holds no importance when you play the video.
- it will lead to futile bitching especially because not every one understand the logic behind watching a video or a static picture.
